Job summary

Fawkes & Reece South is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure framework project in the South of the UK. The role involves commercial management on a project valued over £80m under NEC terms, with reporting to a Commercial Manager and a framework team.

You will handle monthly forecasting, variations, subcontractor enquiries, cost value reconciliations, change management, and final accounts, while enjoying flexible work from home and site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Experience working on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor that is working collaboratively with a private client on various infrastructure projects as part of a large framework in the South. They are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a project worth over £80m. The project is based on a NEC contract and has a scope of works that includes earthworks, drainage installation & pilling etc.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be reporting to a Commercial Manager as part of a larger framework team that works from home and occasionally visits sites. You will be responsible for the commercial administration on this scheme (but not limited to):

• Accurate monthly forecasting and agreeing on variations
• Producing and sending subcontractors enquiries
• Producing monthly reports and cost value reconciliations
• Managing change and producing compensation events
• Preparing and submitting final accounts

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

• Degree-qualified in a Quantity Surveying subject or equivalent
• Experience working on any civil engineering or infrastructure related projects
• Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
