Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor specialising in luxury residential refurbishments, bespoke fit‑out projects, and premium commercial interiors across London and the South East.

This role offers the opportunity to take commercial responsibility for a diverse portfolio of prestigious projects, working with directors, clients, consultants and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong background in luxury residential, refurbishment, fit-out, or commercial interior projects.
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
• Excellent negotiation and procurement skills.
• Strong financial and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High levels of organisation and attention to detail.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects.
• Preparing budgets, cost plans, and tender documentation.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Procuring subcontractors and negotiating packages of work.
• Preparing and submitting valuations and interim applications.
• Managing variations and change control processes.
• Monitoring project costs, profitability, and cash flow.
• Assessing and agreeing subcontractor applications and final accounts.
• Identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
• Producing accurate commercial reports and forecasts.
• Supporting operational teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
