Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial performance of long-term social housing planned maintenance contracts. The role offers career progression, job security, and a comprehensive benefits package within a leading property services contractor.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantities surveying within Property Services, Social Housing or Planned Maintenance.
• Strong ability to produce valuations, cost forecasts and CVRs.
• Experience with NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR) and contract variations.
• Proven capability to manage subcontractor procurement and costs.
• Excellent communication to manage client/subcontractor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial performance of planned maintenance and repairs contracts from inception to final account.
• Producing valuations, Applications for Payment, cost forecasts and CVRs to maximise contract profitability.
• Reviewing Schedule of Rates (NHF SOR), pricing variations and ensuring all chargeable works are captured.
• Procuring and managing subcontractors, negotiating costs and monitoring expenditure.
• Working with operational teams and clients to identify commercial risks and ensure contractual compliance.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor you will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of planned repairs and maintenance contracts, working closely with operational teams, clients and subcontractors to maximise profitability and deliver successful projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the commercial performance of planned maintenance and repairs contracts from inception through to final account.
• Producing valuations, Applications for Payment, cost forecasts and CVRs to maximise contract profitability.
• Reviewing Schedule of Rates (NHF SOR), pricing variations and ensuring all chargeable works are correctly captured.
• Procuring and managing subcontractors, negotiating costs and monitoring expenditure to achieve best value.
• Working closely with operational teams and clients to identify commercial risks, improve performance and ensure contractual compliance.

Skills & Experience

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within Property Services, Social Housing or Planned Maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR) and commercially managing repairs or planned works contracts.
• Experience working under JCT, NEC and/or NHF forms of contract.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to produce accurate valuations, forecasts and cost reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with experience managing client and subcontractor relationships.
