Job summary

Vertical Recruitment is supporting a well-established multidisciplinary construction consultancy in Cheshire to recruit a Quantity Surveyor. You’ll join a QS team of around 20 and work on major client accounts with £2m-£10m schemes, across new build, refurbishment, retrofit and fit-out.

The role emphasises progression based on capability and contribution rather than time served, with hybrid working and exposure to several projects and client interactions, developing into a well-rounded

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Consultancy background preferred.
• Experience across industrial, logistics, distribution, commercial, refurbishment or fit-out projects would transfer well.
• MRICS not essential; support available towards chartership and continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning and estimating.
• Procurement and tender management.
• Preparing and reviewing tender documentation.
• Contract administration.
• Valuations, variations and change control.
• Commercial and financial reporting.
• Final accounts.
• Attending client, contractor and project meetings.
• Working across multiple projects at different stages.
• Developing relationships directly with the client and wider project teams.
