Job summary

Vertical Recruitment is supporting a well-established multidisciplinary construction consultancy in Cheshire to recruit a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join a 20-strong QS team. The firm has a 50+ year track record with UK and international offices.

Projects typically range from £2m-£10m and span new builds through refurbishment, retrofit and fit-out. There is a strong focus on progression based on capability and impact, not tenure, with hybrid working in place.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• MRICS isn't essential, but support towards chartership is provided.
• Good cost management understanding and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning and estimating
• Procurement and tender management
• Preparing and reviewing tender documentation
• Contract administration
• Valuations, variations and change control
• Commercial and financial reporting
• Final accounts
• Attending client, contractor and project meetings
• Working across multiple projects at different stages
• Developing relationships directly with the client and wider project teams
