Job summary

Vertical Recruitment is supporting a well-established construction consultancy in Cheshire to hire a Quantity Surveyor. You’ll join a busy QS team of around 20, supporting a major global client with £2m–£10m projects.

The role offers progression based on ability, not tenure, with hybrid working and exposure to diverse schemes across logistics, refurbishment and fit-out, while developing relationships with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience in a consultancy environment.
• Strong cost management and client communication skills.
• MRICS not essential; support for chartership available.
• Experience across industrial, logistics, distribution, commercial, refurbishment or fit-out projects.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning and estimating.
• Procurement and tender management.
• Preparing and reviewing tender documentation.
• Contract administration.
• Valuations, variations and change control.
• Commercial and financial reporting.
• Final accounts.
• Attending client, contractor and project meetings.
• Working across multiple projects at different stages.
