We are looking for an established Quantity Surveyor who can demonstrate 5+ years' relevant commercial experience, ideally gained within asphalt surfacing or highways.
You should have strong knowledge of measurement, valuations, cost control, variations and final accounts, together with the confidence to commercially manage multiple live projects.
Experience of NEC contracts and highways frameworks would be particularly advantageous. Candidates coming from closely aligned sectors such as highways maintenance, road construction, infrastructure or civil engineering will also be considered where they can demonstrate strong relevant commercial experience.
A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management would be advantageous, although relevant industry experience will be equally important.
Our client is an independent UK surfacing contractor delivering highway construction, resurfacing, maintenance and associated works nationwide. Recent and previous projects showcased by the business include resurfacing works in Dartford Town Centre and the Medway Tunnel, Section 278 works in Maidstone, carriageway works at Canary Wharf and emergency resurfacing on the M25.
