Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for Composite Building Products in Clacton-on-Sea. You will manage costs from estimating through final accounts on GRP Composite and aluminium products.

The role requires extensive QS experience, NEC/JCT/FIDIC contract knowledge, and the ability to lead projects and advise clients and contractors while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Knowledge of NEC, JCT or FIDIC contract types.
• Experience on large scale infrastructure projects preferred.
• Project-led with ability to think laterally.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage project costs from initial estimating and tender through to final accounts, ensuring projects remain commercially viable.
• Prepare and manage BOQs, tenders, valuations, cost reports and cash flow forecasts, identifying risks and cost variances.
• Administer contracts including NEC, JCT and/or FIDIC, managing variations, claims, disputes and contractual obligations.
• Work closely with clients, contractors and internal teams, providing commercial advice and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Monitor project performance and deliver value engineering, supporting investment decisions and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
