Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited seeks a Quantity Surveyor – Brickwork to manage costs on brickwork projects for main-contractors in Tunbridge Wells. You will price materials, prepare tenders and budgets, and track changes to support accurate forecasts.

The role requires Quantity Surveying experience; a surveying degree is preferred but experience outweighs qualifications. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Quantity Surveying experience.
• Ideally will have a Surveying degree or equivalent; experience weighs more than qualifications.
• Ability to produce take-offs as required.
• Knowledge of construction procurement, specifications and sub-contractor management.
• Highly organized with good attention to detail.
• Excellent communicator across all levels both written and verbally.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage costs related to brickwork projects for main-contractors.
• Price the cost of materials needed for the project.
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, BOQs and other relevant documentation.
• Track changes to the works and adjust budget projections accordingly.
• Measure and value the work done on site.
• Liaise with the client and internal/external stake holders such as Site managers and Project Manager.
• Work on projects varying in value up to £2.5m.
