Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of complex gas projects, maximise profitability, and safeguard commercial interests. You will collaborate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver value and ensure robust cost control.

The role requires a BSc in Quantity Surveying with at least 3 years of experience, NEC3/4 familiarity, and a strong commercial mindset.

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying.
• Professional membership preferable (e.g. RICS).
• Established background in commercial roles, preferably in gas pipelines or heavy civils.
• NEC3/4 experience
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and data analysis skills.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial and contractual administration of projects, ensuring maximum entitlement and profitability.
• Support tender preparation, cost analysis, and pre-contract activities.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring bid strategies and profit plans are understood and achieved.
• Prepare and negotiate subcontract packages, orders, interim valuations, and final accounts.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of valuations, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Monitor costs, margins, and risks, raising early warnings where necessary.
• Provide contractual advice and support dispute resolution when required.
• Lead on procurement strategies in collaboration with operations and procurement teams.
• Support junior surveyors, conducting performance reviews where appropriate.
