Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our capital and planned works team in East London / Essex.

The role focuses on cost management, valuations, subcontractor oversight and strong commercial controls across multiple workstreams, within social housing refurbishments. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years QS/AQS experience, a background in planned social housing works and refurbishments (internals/externals).

Qualifications

• 4-5 years' experience in a QS/AQS role.
• Strong background in planned social housing works.
• Experience with refurbishment programmes (internals and externals).
• Comfortable working within a smaller commercial team.
• Degree qualified (desirable but not essential).
• Driving licence not essential.

Responsibilities

• Cost management, valuations and reporting across multiple workstreams.
• Subcontractor management and commercial control of programmes.
• Oversee kitchen/bathroom replacements, roofing and external refurbishments.
• Support delivery within a Local Authority-backed organisation.
