Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor - Facades to manage the commercial and financial aspects of façade projects. You will prepare cost estimates, valuations, variations and final accounts for cladding systems such as wall cladding, rain screen and SFS, and provide tender analysis and procurement support.

The role requires experience in building envelope with excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within building envelope.
• Experience with facades and/or cladding preferred.
• Re clad experience would be highly advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deal with cladding systems such as wall cladding, rain screen cladding and SFS.
• Manage commercial and financial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring costs are controlled and budgets are maintained.
• Prepare cost estimates, valuations, financial reports, variations and final accounts.
• Support procurement activities including tender analysis, subcontractor appointments and contract administration.
• Carry out site visits, monitor progress and identify commercial risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Facilitate designs for projects up to £30m.

The role of the Quantity Surveyor - Facades will involve:

• Quantity Surveyor position dealing with various cladding systems such as:, wall cladding, rain screen cladding and SFS
• Manage the commercial and financial aspects of multiple construction projects, ensuring costs are controlled and budgets are maintained
• Prepare cost estimates, valuations, financial reports, variations, and final accounts.
• Support procurement activities, including tender analysis, subcontractor appointments, and contract administration
• Carry out regular site visits, monitor project progress, and identify commercial risks and cost-saving opportunities
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Facilitating the designs for projects that could range in value up to £30m

The ideal applicant will be Quantity Surveyor - Facades with:

• Must have experience as a Quantity Surveyor within building envelope
• Ideally have experience with facades and/or cladding
• Re clad experience would be high advantageous
• Ability to work well autonomously
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• High levels of attention to detail and organisation
• Familiar with working in a fast paced environment dealing with multiple projects at any one time
