Up Front Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator for a construction contractor in Bedford. The role combines estimating with cost management across refurbishment, fit-out and main contracting projects.

You will review drawings, prepare estimates and cost breakdowns, obtain quotes, support procurement, and manage valuations, variations and final accounts while monitoring budgets across a variety of live projects.

Formación

• Experience in quantity surveying and estimating within construction.
• Fit-out and refurbishment experience is useful, especially with occupied premises.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications, and communicate clearly with clients, subcontractors and project teams.

Responsabilidades

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Prepare estimates, take-offs and cost breakdowns.
• Obtain and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Support procurement and agree subcontract packages.
• Prepare valuations and assess variations.
• Monitor project costs and report against budgets.
• Manage final accounts and identify commercial risks.
