Job summary

Fyba Recruitment Ltd in Bolton is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established engineering team and develop commercial exposure across projects. You will cover cost control, CVR, valuations and subcontractor management to support multiple projects.

The ideal candidate has a Quantity Surveying degree with strong numerical abilities, excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in progressing in the commercial side of the industry.

Qualifications

• Relevant Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability with attention to detail.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor project costs from start to finish.
• Support monthly commercial reporting and CVR preparation.
• Assist with valuations, payment applications and invoice management.
• Identify and manage variations and changes.
• Support estimates, budgets and forecasts preparation.
• Review contracts and ensure commercial requirements are met.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement and commercial management.
• Monitor project progress and its impact on commercial performance.
• Develop relationships with clients and subcontractors.
