Job summary

Rogers McHugh in Mansfield is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of ceramic tiling projects from tender through final account. You will help keep projects on budget while maximising profitability and maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

This permanent role offers up to £45,000, a company car and an annual bonus, with nationwide travel across East Midlands sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in ceramic tiling or related flooring trades.
• Strong understanding of contracts and cost management.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial aspects of ceramic tiling projects from start to completion.
• Prepare and submit tenders, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Measure works accurately and prepare cost reports for internal and client use.
• Negotiate with clients, main contractors, and suppliers to secure best value.
• Monitor budgets and cash flow to ensure projects remain commercially viable.
• Support the project delivery team with accurate financial data and advice.
• Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities to improve margins.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, and industry standards.
