Job summary
Blaymires Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to prepare detailed Bills of Quantities from drawings and specifications. The role focuses on accurate measurement, take-off, and cost data to support tenders and live projects.
The successful candidate will collaborate with estimators and commercial teams, with strong experience in measurement from architectural, structural, and M&M drawings.

Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities from drawings and specifications.
- Undertake accurate measurement and taking-off for a range of construction projects.
- Review architectural, structural and M&M drawings to establish scope and quantities.
- Prepare schedules of works, quantities and tender documentation.
- Ensure tender documentation accurately reflects the project scope.
- Identify discrepancies, omissions and potential commercial risks within tender information.
- Work closely with estimators, project managers and the wider commercial team.
- Assist with value engineering and alternative construction solutions where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
- Support projects during pre-construction and, where required, through the delivery phase.
