Job summary

Lindum is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in the United Kingdom to collaborate with the project team and manage multiple contracts. The role focuses on maintaining commercial control and ensuring projects are delivered financially and contractually.

The ideal candidate will have QS experience in construction, a relevant higher education qualification, and strong cost control, risk management and contractual understanding. IT literacy (Excel/Word) and good organisation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial control on projects and ensure delivery from a financial/contracts perspective.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve successful outcomes.
• Mentor trainee/assistant team members where possible.
• Utilise IT tools with intermediate Excel and Word skills and strong organisational abilities.

Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working collaboratively with a wider project team, and has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining commercial control and ensuring projects are delivered successfully from a financial and contractual perspective.

• QS experience in the construction industry is essential with ability to manage multiple contracts at once
• You will ideally also have a relevant Higher Education qualification (HNC, Diploma or Degree)
• Strong commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of cost control, profitability, risk management and contractual obligations.
• The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and the wider business to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Experience supervising and mentoring trainee/assistant team members would be an advantage
• You must be IT literate with intermediate level Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Strong organisational skills with a positive can do attitude
• A full driving licence is essential Hours of work are 0800 - 1700 Monday to Friday.
