Job summary

Kier Transportation is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial team on the Norfolk County Council Term Service Contract, based in Wymondham, Norfolk.

The role requires a qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar, with experience in construction/highways sectors, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage data and travel to project sites as needed. Permanent full-time role with some flexible hours may be available.

Qualifications

• Holds, or is working towards, a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Experience from a Quantity Surveying or related role within construction, civil engineering, or highways sector.
• Demonstrates strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and organisational abilities, with confidence managing large volumes of data and balancing priorities.
• Holds a full driving licence and is comfortable travelling to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Completing accurate take-offs and producing task price lists for task orders.
• Supporting the commercial management of a portfolio of projects and presenting scheme performance at gateway meetings.
• Maintaining scheme cost monitors, producing month-end CVRs and monitoring costs across assigned schemes.
• Using contract management software to manage and value change on allocated projects.
• Collaborating with operational colleagues and clients to provide commercial advice for safe and efficient delivery.

Hours: Permanent Fulltime 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?
