OPR Resourcing Specialists is assisting in finding a Quantity Surveyor for a carpentry and joinery contractor in Woking. The role covers supporting the commercial team from tender through final accounts on residential projects.

You will manage variations, cost plans, and procurement while collaborating with design teams to drive project success in a growing business.

Formación

• Minimum 4 years' surveying experience (essential).
• Experience within carpentry/joinery or fit-out preferred.
• Proactive mindset with ambition to grow into a confident QS.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Willingness to work independently while collaborating with others.

Our client is a fast-growing carpentry and joinery contractor working on high-quality new build residential schemes, and they are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven QS who wants real responsibility, exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of projects, and the chance to grow alongside an ambitious business.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in supporting the senior commercial team and managing the financial and contractual aspects of carpentry and joinery packages from tender through to final account.

You’ll be involved in multiple stages of each project, gaining hands‑on experience and making a genuine impact on project success.

Key Responsibilities

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within carpentry/joinery or fit‑out
• A proactive mindset with the ambition to grow into a confident, self‑sufficient QS
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• A forward‑thinking approach and willingness to learn
• The confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively with others

Experience Required

• Minimum 4 years' surveying experience (essential)

Working Arrangements & Benefits

• Hybrid role
• Office located in Woking, Surrey, with on‑site parking provided
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
