Job summary

H9 Talent Solutions is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a major engineering and building services business. You’ll support the commercial delivery of M&E works across healthcare projects, with opportunities to build your experience and progress.

This opportunity is aimed at QS level, with applications welcomed from candidates with M&E, MEP, building services or a closely related engineering background. The position is based around Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding Midlands area.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E, MEP, building services or a comparable engineering environment.
• Practical NEC contract experience; Option C knowledge would be beneficial.
• Experience in valuations, cost reporting, subcontractor accounts and change management.
• An organised approach and confidence working with project teams and external stakeholders.
• Healthcare or live-site experience would be useful, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out measurement and valuations, including variations and final accounts.
• Prepare and maintain cost reports, CVRs and forecasts.
• Monitor cash flow and costs to complete.
• Support procurement and manage subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Identify and manage contractual changes under NEC contracts.
• Build effective relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
• Help maintain accurate commercial records and meet monthly reporting deadlines.

H9 Talent Solutions is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a major engineering and building services business. You'll support the commercial delivery of M&E works across healthcare projects, with opportunities to build your experience and progress.

This opportunity is aimed at QS level, with applications welcomed from candidates with M&E, MEP, building services or a closely related engineering background.

The role

Working alongside the commercial and project teams, you will:

• Carry out measurement and valuations, including variations and final accounts.
• Prepare and maintain cost reports, CVRs and forecasts.
• Monitor cash flow and costs to complete.
• Support procurement and manage subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Identify and manage contractual changes under NEC contracts.
• Build effective relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
• Help maintain accurate commercial records and meet monthly reporting deadlines.
