Job summary

Mech Electrics Limited in Darlington is seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor (Intermediate or Senior) to manage commercial aspects of a major new-build office project valued at c. £15m.

You will work with the project and commercial teams from procurement through final account, with responsibilities across cost control, valuations, variations and payments. The role offers hybrid working up to 2 days per week and involves subcontract procurement, tendering and negotiation, as well as risk

Qualifications

• Experience as an MEP / Building Services Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical services.
• NEC contract experience is desirable ideally NEC3 or NEC4.
• Experience managing MEP subcontract packages.
• Good knowledge of cost control, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong commercial, contractual and negotiation skills.
• Able to work effectively within a project team.

MEP Quantity Surveyor - Intermediate / Senior

Location: Darlington Centre

Project: New Build Commercial Office

MEP Value: c. £15m

Duration - 18 months + more work in region following

Hybrid - available - up to 2 days p.w.

We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate or Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join one odf the UK's leading building services contractors, working on a major new-build office development with an M&E value of approximately £15 million.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MEP QS to take a key commercial role, working closely with the project and commercial teams from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial management of the MEP packages.
• Subcontract procurement, tendering and negotiation.
• Managing valuations, payments, variations and final accounts.
