Job summary

Fourblue is supporting a construction consultancy seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its project team on a hyperscale data centre project in Middlesbrough. You will work closely with the client and wider delivery team, providing commercial advice and supporting cost management throughout construction.

The role requires a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in quantity surveying with a background in MEP or CSA packages.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in quantity surveying.
• Background in MEP (mechanical, electrical and public health) or CSA (civil, structural and architectural) packages.
• Strong cost management, contract administration and commercial reporting skills.
• Ability to communicate directly with clients and provide clear, practical commercial advice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, cost forecasts and commercial reports.
• Support procurement and review tender submissions.
• Assess valuations, payment applications and variations.
• Monitor expenditure and highlight commercial risks.

Looking for your next data centre contract? Bring your quantity surveying experience to a client-side role on a hyperscale data centre project in Middlesbrough.

Fourblue is supporting a construction consultancy seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its project team. You'll work closely with the client and wider delivery team, providing commercial advice and supporting cost management throughout construction.

With a 12-month rolling contract outside IR35, this opportunity is open to Quantity Surveyors from either an MEP or CSA background.

The role

You'll support the project's commercial delivery, helping the client understand costs, manage change and make informed decisions.
