Job summary

A leading UK contractor in South London seeks an experienced candidate for a role in a major leisure centre and sports stadium development. The successful applicant will be involved in PCSA and pre-construction activities, transitioning to on-site project management. Responsibilities include procurement, managing subcontract documentation, and commercial reporting. This position offers up to £70,000 salary, car allowance, travel expenses, healthcare, and bonuses, with opportunities for clear progression.

Responsibilities

• Assist with PCSA and pre-construction commercial activities.
• Procure subcontract and supplier packages.
• Prepare and manage subcontract documentation.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and payments.
• Conduct interim valuations and payment applications.
• Assess and agree on variations and change events.
• Control costs and forecast throughout the project lifecycle.
• Report commercially to senior management.

Location: South London (predominantly site based)

Project: Major leisure centre and sports stadium development

Salary & Package:

• Up to c.£70,000 +Car allowanc + Travel expenses + Healthcare + Bonus & Clear progression within one of the UK’s leading contractors

Ideal Experience:

• Ideally some PCSA / pre-construction experience

Role Overview:

• Initial involvement in PCSA and pre-construction activities
• Transition to taking the project live on site later in the year
• Working as part of a strong, well-resourced commercial team
• Long-term involvement through project delivery

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with PCSA and pre-construction commercial activities
• Procurement of subcontract and supplier packages
• Preparing and managing subcontract documentation
• Monitoring subcontractor performance and payments
• Interim valuations and payment applications
• Assessment and agreement of variations and change events
• Cost control and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle
• Commercial reporting to senior management
• Supporting the negotiation and agreement of final accounts
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and cost data
• Working closely with site management, design, and commercial teams
