Straight-Line Group Services Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our civil engineering and infrastructure teams in the UK. • Experience in civil engineering, highways, drainage or groundworks.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 or JCT contracts.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of the commercial performance of projects, including managing project costs, budgets and profitability.
• Producing CVRs, forecasts, WIP reports and commercial reporting.
• Preparing and agreeing applications for payment.
• Managing variations, compensation events and change control.
• Working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Managing contracts, claims, final accounts and commercial risk.
• Leading procurement and negotiating subcontractor and supplier rates.
• Identifying opportunities to improve margins, reduce costs and maximise value.
• Supporting tenders, pricing and pre-construction activities.

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing civil engineering and infrastructure business, working across a strong pipeline of drainage, highways, civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have:

• Experience in civil engineering, highways, drainage or groundworks.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 or JCT contracts.
• Excellent commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Strong Excel and cost-reporting experience.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Desirable: Experience within the National Highways supply chain, SOR-based pricing, CCTV/drainage repair works, and CVR/WIP reporting
