Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support renewable and infrastructure projects in Sheffield. You will manage cost control, valuations, and ensure commercial success by collaborating closely with project teams.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment delivering across the energy and construction sector. Ideal candidates will have experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS, and a background in construction or energy.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, civils, infrastructure or energy required.
• Ability to work in a project-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Managing cost control, valuations and variations.
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor management.
• Preparing and reviewing applications for payment and final accounts.
• Monitoring project performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Assisting with contract administration.

Quantity Surveyor - Renewable / Solar Projects

I'm currently working with a leading engineering and energy-focused organisation who are looking to bring in an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a growing pipeline of renewable and infrastructure projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business delivering across the energy and construction sector, with exposure to a mix of commercial, operational and project-based work.

The Role

• Managing cost control, valuations and variations
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor management
• Preparing and reviewing applications for payment and final accounts
• Monitoring project performance against budgets and forecasts
• Assisting with contract administration (NEC preferred)
• Working closely with project teams to ensure commercial success

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS stepping up
• Background within construction, civils, infrastructure or energy
• Knowledge of commercial processes, contracts and cost management
• Exposure to NEC contracts (beneficial)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a project-driven environment
