Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 main contractor on a Portsmouth project valued at 30m. The role focuses on subcontract procurement, on-site financial administration and monthly valuations.

You will work on NEC4 contracts, with a requirement for an HNC/construction degree and proven experience with Tier 1/2 contractors, delivering projects up to 30m. UK work rights and proximity to Portsmouth are essential; a generous package is on offer.

Qualifications

• Have experience administering NEC 4 form of contract.
• Have experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor.
• Have experience working on projects up to 30m.
• Must have the full right to work in the UK.
• Must live within commutable distance to Portsmouth.

Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 main contractor on a project based in Portsmouth valued at 30m. The project revolves around the construction of an industrial unit but the business also undertakes projects across the education, healthcare, commercial, and public sectors. Due to the size of the project in question, they're now looking to expand their team with an additional Quantity Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

• Manage subcontract procurement
• Manage subcontractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
• Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
• Deal with final accounts
