A civil engineering construction company serving commercial and public sector clients across Scotland is looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The individual in this role will be responsible for preparing and managing Bills of Quantities, monitoring project costs, and supporting cost planning from tender through to final account. Demonstrated ability in cost control and cost management to support project budgets and financial performance. Experience in preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and related measurement documentation. Skills in cost planning, including estimating, forecasting, and supporting tender submissions. Competence in cost reporting, including regular financial updates, variance analysis, and final accounts. Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with standard MS Office tools and quantity surveying or cost management software. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with site and office-based colleagues. Knowledge of civil engineering construction methods, contracts, and industry standards is highly beneficial.
