Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for our Nottingham office to strengthen the commercial team. You will oversee commercial performance on planned maintenance and refurbishment projects focused on social housing kitchens and bathrooms.

You will produce CVRs and cost reports, monitor budgets and forecasts, manage subcontractor accounts, and review variations to maximise margins. The role requires strong Excel skills, independence, and collaboration with Contract Managers and

• Must have previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in social housing or planned maintenance.
• Knowledge of kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes preferred.
• Confident producing CVRs, managing cost ledgers and monitoring commercial performance.
• Strong commercial awareness with good financial and reporting skills.
• Confident using Excel and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proactive approach with ability to work independently and as part of a wider commercial team.

Quantity Surveyor

Location: Nottingham – Office based

I’m currently working with a well-established property services contractor who is looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor, based out of their Nottingham office.

The business delivers a range of planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes across the social housing sector, with a particular focus on kitchen and bathroom replacement schemes.

This is a predominantly office-based position, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the commercial performance of projects, working closely with operational teams and supporting the successful delivery of ongoing programmes.

The Role:

• Commercial management of planned maintenance and refurbishment contracts, predominantly kitchens and bathrooms.
• Producing and managing monthly CVRs, cost reports and cost ledgers.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets, forecasts and overall profitability.
• Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and applications for payment.
• Reviewing variations, measuring works and managing final accounts.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project margins.
• Working closely with Contract Managers and operational teams to ensure commercial targets are achieved.
• Supporting tendering, pricing and procurement activities where required.

About You:
