Impression Recruitment Limited in Northampton is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor with subcontracting experience. You will negotiate confidently, manage costs and keep projects financially on track.

The role offers a company car, hybrid working, two bonuses a year, and business expenses paid. You will work closely with the Commercial Manager to maximise margins across multiple contracts, with valuations, variations and final accounts managed efficiently.

• Prepare and agree client valuations.
• Price variations and recover additional costs.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts.
• Monitor costs, cash flow and profitability.
• Produce monthly financial reports.
• Identify risks and prevent overspends.
• Calculate material quantities from drawings.
• Obtain, compare and negotiate subcontractor quotes.
• Place orders and manage subcontractor payments.
• Monitor supply chain costs and liabilities.
• Ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins and performance.

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Northampton
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Key Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor:

Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you'll manage the commercial performance of multiple contracts, protect margins and maximise cost recovery.

• Prepare and agree client valuations.
• Price variations and recover additional costs.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts.
• Monitor costs, cash flow and profitability.Produce monthly financial reports.
• Identify risks and prevent overspends.
• Calculate material quantities from drawings.
• Obtain, compare and negotiate subcontractor quotes.
