Based in Blundeston on the Norfolk/Suffolk boarder and founded in 1989, Badger Building (E. Anglia) Ltd has grown to become one of the region's largest independently owned new home builders. We are known for constructing high-quality new homes with innovative designs in many desirable locations.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Quantity Surveyor based at our head office in Blundeston. The successful candidate will have a varied role involved with all aspects of Quantity Surveying including cost control/analysis, preparing Bills of Quantities for viability appraisals, sub-contract and material procurement, site measurement and liaison with site management teams, payment of sub-contractors, pre and post contract management. The role also involves cost reporting and ensuring that all financial aspects of construction projects are accurately managed and reported.

Qualifications

• Skills in Cost Control, Cost Planning, and Cost Management
• Experience in preparing Bills of Quantities
• Good negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Experience in the house building sector would be beneficial but not essential
