Job summary

TSR Recruitment Limited in Leeds is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial refurbishment projects up to £1 million. You will control costs, subcontracts, and final accounts while coordinating with site teams and senior management.

Salary ranges £50,000-£65,000 with a likely package; full-time permanent role with standard working hours. Role suits a proactive, degree-qualified QS with a strong track record in main contracting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a QS, ideally with a main contractor.
• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Proactive QS who identifies issues and puts actions in place.
• Forward thinking and dynamic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Run own commercial projects with values from £100k to £1 million.
• Handle subcontractor payments and approvals.
• Produce cost value reports and address variances with actions.
• Manage final accounts.
• Visit sites to liaise with site managers and carry out valuations.
• Procurement of materials and labour costs.
• Support and liaise with the Managing Director.
• Prepare cashflows and financial statements.

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with expertise working on commercial and industrial refurbishment projects with values up to £1 million?

Role Responsibilities:

• Commercially run your own projects with typical project values from £100k to £1 million
• Subcontractor payments and approvals
• Produce cost value reports and identify any failings offering solutions to any issues and actions in place to bring them in line
• Final accounts
• Visit sites to liaise with the site Manager and carry out valuations
• Procurement of materials and labour costs
• Support and liaise with the Managing Director
• Cashflows and financial statements

What We're Looking For:
