Job summary

C&P Recruitment in Inverness is seeking a Graduate/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team on exciting construction projects.

You'll work with Senior Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, supporting the commercial management of projects from tender through to final account, with mentoring to develop your career.

Full UK driving licence preferred; excellent training and progression opportunities are offered within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• Graduate level or up to 2–3 years' Quantity Surveying experience.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost planning, procurement and subcontract management.
• Support the preparation and submission of valuations and applications for payment.
• Help manage subcontractor accounts, payments and variations.
• Assist with cost reporting, forecasting and budget control.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Prepare measurements and take-offs.
• Support the commercial team with contract administration.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
• Help identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.
• Ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.
