Job summary

Primech Building Services is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team, delivering M&E projects across London and the South East.

With 5+ years in a Quantity Surveying or similar role, you will manage budgets, cost plans and cash flow, and work closely with Project Managers to keep projects on time and within budget. Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial role.
• Experience in construction, preferably M&E sector.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual requirements.
• Experience with cost planning, CVRs, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of allocated projects from set-up through to completion.
• Prepare budgets, cost plans, CVRs, profit forecasts and cash flow reports.
• Monitor project P&L and commercial performance with operational leads.
• Manage variations, valuations, payment applications and contract close-out.
• Approve subcontractor and supplier payments.
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks.
• Work with Project Managers to ensure on-time, in-budget delivery.
• Attend client progress meetings and undertake site visits.
• Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide commercial advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have5+ years' experiencein a Quantity Surveying or similar commercial role within construction, ideally within the M&E sector.

Job Role & Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of allocated projects from set-up through to completion.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

• 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial role.


• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification.


• Construction industry experience.


• Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual requirements.


• Experience with cost planning, CVRs, forecasting and cash flow management.


• Strong numerical, analytical and IT skills.


• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.


• Excellent communication and organisational skills.


• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

• M&E / Building Services experience.


• Experience delivering retrofit, refurbishment or new-build projects.


• Experience working across London and the South East.
