Job summary

Morgan Sindall Property Services Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Westminster, London offices on a permanent full-time basis. You will manage day-to-day commercial control, reporting and project CVRs from award to final account, with site visits and sub-contractor coordination.

The role requires NVQ Level 6 in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and a strong background in Social Housing, particularly Responsive Repairs & Maintenance. UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 6 in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
• Experience in Social Housing, especially R&M
• Experience managing CVRs and Final Accounts
• Knowledge of Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) and Kitchen & Bathroom programmes desirable

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day commercial control, reporting and management of multiple projects from award to final account.
• Conduct site visits and surveying duties; keep line manager informed of progress for client and sub-contract accounts.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation (CVRs, forecasts, cash flow, commercial register) and cost control.
• Procure sub-trades and suppliers with the Procurement Team; manage main/sub-contract final accounts and variations.

Job description

Permanent – Full Time

40 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00, one hour lunch

We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join us based from our offices in Westminster, London .

About the Role

As our Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the day-to-day commercial control, reporting and management of multiple projects from award up to final account.

Within the role, you’ll conduct site visits and carry out surveying duties; keeping your line manager appraised of the progress of all accounts, both client and sub-contract, through to finalisation. You’ll have effective commercial control of all allocated projects, including the provision of timely and accurate documentation in accordance with the reporting timetable, in particular CVR’s, forecasts, continuous improvement documents, cash flow forecast and the commercial register.

In conjunction with the Procurement Team, you will ensure that the procurement of sub-trades and suppliers is undertaken in a timely and cost effective manner, and manage the timely production of the main/sub-contract final accounts, including re-measurement as necessary to ensure the best result, evaluation and agreement of all variations, extensions of time, loss and expense claims.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with an NVQ Level 6 in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and a strong background in Social Housing, particularly Responsive Repairs & Maintenance (R&M). Experience managing CVRs and Final Accounts is essential, with knowledge of Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) and Kitchen & Bathroom (K&B) programmes desirable.

Due to nature of the role, you must hold a valid UK driving licence.
