Job summary

Integrate Engineering Resources is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a major Energy from Waste power station construction project in north London. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing cost estimates, conducting valuations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

A degree or equivalent qualification and experience in the Energy from Waste sector are essential. Effective communication and teamwork skills are also required.

Job description

Week 1: Mon to Fri 7-7 (9 hrs basic, 2.5 hrs OTA Mon to Thurs, 7 hrs basic + 4.5 hrs OTA Fri), Weekend 7-4.30 (Sat 4 hrs OTA + 5 hrs OTB, and 9 hrs OTB for Sun).

Week 2: Mon to Wed 7-7 and Thurs 7-2:30 (6 hrs basic and 1 hr OTA)

PAYE Pay Rates:

Lodge Allowance: £55.00/day worked

Travel Allowance: £20.00/hr travelled (between home and site)

The Role

Integrate Engineering Resources is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for a major Energy from Waste power station construction project in north London.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Conducting valuations and agreeing on variations.
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress, identifying potential risks and cost implications.
• Liaising with contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure efficient delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations.
• Preparing final accounts and supporting project close-out.

Requirements

• CCNSG card
• Degree or equivalent technical qualification
• Prior background in the Energy from Waste Power station construction sector
• Knowledge of power station project management and estimating
• Excellent communication, teamwork, negotiation, problem solving and organisation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
