We are currently partnering with a Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy based in London, who are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Employers Agent to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position with a salary subject to experience, around £65,000 - £80,000. The start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Preparing and managing cost plans and estimates, tender documentation and procurement strategies, contract documentation and reports
- Managing post-contract duties including valuations, variations, final accounts
- Acting as Employer’s Agent on projects, leading delivery from pre-contract through to completion
- Managing the contractual and commercial aspects of projects under JCT and/or NEC forms
- Leading project meetings and act as the primary point of contact for clients
- Coordinating consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to drive project outcomes
- Leading and mentoring a team of 2–5 Quantity Surveyors / Assistants
- Reviewing outputs and ensure high-quality delivery across projects
Experience required:
- Strong background in cost consultancy / PQS environment
- Proven experience acting as Employer’s Agent on projects independently
- Experience delivering projects across residential, education, or public sector
- Demonstrable client-facing experience, including leading meetings and presentations
- Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
- Strong knowledge of JCT (and ideally NEC) contracts
