Fortis Search is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing cost & project consultancy in Greater London. You will take ownership of projects, work with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and develop your career in a collaborative environment.

The role covers residential and commercial sectors, partnering with high-profile organisations and high-net-worth individuals. MRICS or progression towards chartership would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility studies, cost plans and estimates.
• Manage cost plans and monitor movements.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Advise on procurement and tender strategies.
• Manage tender processes and contractor negotiations.
• Monthly valuations and cost reporting.
• Contract administration and change management.
• Support final accounts and commercial negotiations.
• Work closely with clients, contractors and design teams.
• Provide clear, commercially focused advice throughout project delivery.

The Role

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor with:

• Pre and post-contract exposure
• Understanding of cost planning, procurement and contract administration
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• The ability to manage projects independently while working collaboratively within a wider team
• MRICS or progress towards chartership would be advantageous
