Job summary

The Clancy Group Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Anglian Water contract. You will drive commercial performance, manage costs and forecasts, and provide contract expertise to ensure value and risk are optimised on site.

Ideal candidates will have a QS background in construction/infrastructure, experience with NEC/JCT contracts, and a relevant degree, with professional membership preferred. Competitive package and career development await.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team working on our Anglian Water contract, to play an important role in helping us to achieve our vision of building a world where all infrastructure is sustainably built and maintained. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll help ensure our projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget. You'll manage costs, forecasts, and contracts, providing clear commercial advice to support decision making and achieve the best results for our clients. You'll build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners, support and develop junior team members, and help drive continuous improvement across the business. You'll play a key role in delivering successful projects, identifying opportunities to improve performance, manage risk, and achieve positive commercial outcomes. Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…

• Lead commercial and cost management across the programme, helping to keep projects on budget and delivering the best value.
• Provide commercial and contractual support, ensuring contract requirements are met and risks are effectively managed.
• Oversee cost forecasting and monthly reporting, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
• Manage the alliance commercial position, including cost and performance forecasting.
• Support risk management activities, identifying and addressing issues early to minimise impact.
• Support the purchase order process, ensuring compliance with procedures, budgets, and financial controls.
• Promote best practice, continuous improvement, and strong commercial performance across the team.

You have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, infrastructure or a similar industry. You'll have a strong understanding of commercial and contract management, including NEC and or JCT contracts, budgeting, cost control, valuations, final accounts and cash flow management. Ideally, you'll hold a degree in Quantity Surveying (or a related subject), be working towards or hold professional membership with RICS, CICES or CIOB, and be confident building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project teams while managing your own workload.
