Job summary

Connect Appointments has an exciting opportunity for a reliable Quantity Surveyor in Glasgow on-site, Monday to Friday. You will manage project costs, liaise with clients and teams, and ensure health and safety standards on site.

The ideal candidate holds an HND in Quantity Surveying and is proficient with CostX or Bluebeam, with strong negotiation and data analysis skills and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying (essential).
• Proficiency with CostX or Bluebeam for estimating and reporting.
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to negotiate, persuade and motivate others.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for a reliable and experienced individual to become a Quantity Surveyor with our growing client in Glasgow!

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Location of work: On-site

Your duties and responsibilities as a Quantity Surveyor will include:

• Managing the costs, ensuring projects are completed to the pre-determined budget
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
• Report periodically on the status of the individual projects
• Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers, engineers and designers
• Ensuring the company on-site processes are carried out, and health & safety procedures are followed
• Reporting and documenting of all site-based processes and events

The ideal Quantity Surveyor will have:

• HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying (essential)
• Good working knowledge of specialist software such as CostX or Bluebeam
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
• The ability to negotiate, persuade and motivate others
• Strong data analysis skills
• Full UK driving licence
