Job summary

Primech Building Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team, supporting the delivery of Mechanical and Electrical projects across London and the South East.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or similar commercial role within construction, ideally within the M&E sector. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing business on a strong workload and long-term career prospects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role.
• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification.
• Construction industry experience.
• Experience with cost planning, CVRs, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Strong numerical, analytical and IT skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of allocated projects from set-up through to completion.
• Prepare budgets, cost plans, CVRs, profit forecasts and cash flow reports.
• Monitor project P&L and commercial performance alongside operational leads.
• Manage variations, valuations, payment applications and contract close-out.
• Approve subcontractor and supplier payments.
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks.
• Work closely with Project Managers and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Attend client progress meetings and undertake regular site visits.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide commercial advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.
