Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with pre and post contract experience on infrastructure projects. You will drive commercial strategy, manage NEC contracts, and lead procurement efforts across highways, rail, energy, utilities and defence sectors.

You will work within our Complex Projects team, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to value engineering and cost control while advancing your professional chartership.

Qualifications

• Quantity surveying or related commercial degree or equivalent.
• Experience administering NEC contracts.
• Experience managing infrastructure projects in highways, rail, energy, utilities, MOD or aviation.
• Strong written and verbal communication with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a well-rounded Senior Quantity Surveyor with Pre and Post Contract experience on Infrastructure projects, in any the following sectors-Highways (National or Local Transport), Rail, Energy (Nuclear, Renewables, Carbon Capture), Utilities (Water, Communication, Etc), MOD, Aviation. We do not expect applicants to be experts in all areas of quantity surveying but have a drive to elevate their career and meet some of the prerequisites. If you believe you have the experience of a senior quantity surveyor and want to develop your skills by delivering projects for our clients and adding value through best practise and problem-solving, then a career within our Complex Infrastructure Commercial & Procurement discipline of AtkinsRéalis Complex Projects team could be the place for you.

Your role

• Have a quantity surveying / commercial degree or equivalent qualification . Have/are working towards a recognised Chartership.
• Experience in administering the NEC suite of contracts .
• Experience in commercially managing Infrastructure projects. i.e. within at least one sector. Know the standard methods of measurement – Highways and CESMM.
• Understand procurement documents required in the preparation of an ITT.
• Have a good understanding of construction techniques and technology. Are experienced in managing medium-sized projects with little supervision.
• Experience in the use of the full suite on Microsoft software.
• Have good written and oral communication skills. Proven record in working with multiple teams and stakeholders. Have a natural curiosity for developing innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions for our clients.

• Knowledge in compiling the full suite of ITT documents.
• Some experience in project and technical leadership.
• Proven record of developing client relationships.
• An interest in Business and Account Management.
