Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its South West East, Complex Projects team in the UK. You will work with clients, project managers, and contractors to manage costs, procurement, and contract administration across diverse infrastructure projects.

The role offers hybrid/office flexibility, opportunities for career progression, and exposure to high-profile civil infrastructure schemes. You will balance commercial duties with collaborative teamwork and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Working towards membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent.
  • Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Experience in civil infrastructure projects preferable.
  • Experience with common UK contract forms such as NEC, ICC, FIDIC, or JCT preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration – Working in the client team with leadership, project managers, contractors, and internal managers.
  • Cost Management - Monitoring project costs to ensure the project is delivered within budget. Validating contractor and supplier costs & payments.
  • Reporting - Providing regular input to financial reports to ensure our clients have confidence in their project outcomes.
  • Procurement – Supporting the procurement team in evaluating and appointing contractors.
  • Contract Administration - Administering various contract types, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions. Supporting with contract change by reviewing validity, quotations and ensuring timely submissions and agreement.
  • Risk and Value Management - Identifying, analysing, and mitigating commercial risks. Assisting in value engineering to optimise project performance.

Your role

About you
