Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of a major infrastructure programme.

The role offers an immediate contract with a clear transition to permanent employment after about 15 weeks, with hybrid working and strong long-term career potential. You will work closely with operations to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, managing subcontractor procurement, valuations, and cost reporting while contributing to risk

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline.
  • Experience in utilities, water, environmental, aviation, nuclear or other major infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a fast-paced project environment.
  • Full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Managing subcontractor procurement, administration and account management.
  • Preparing and reviewing applications for payment.
  • Valuing variations, compensation events and change control processes.
  • Producing cost reports, forecasts and commercial updates.
  • Supporting contract administration and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers and site teams to maximise commercial performance.
  • Assisting with risk management and identifying opportunities for cost savings and value improvement.

A leading infrastructure contractor delivering long-term projects across the utilities sector is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. With a strong pipeline of secured work and projects running for several years, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering both immediate contract work and a clear pathway into a permanent position.

Your new role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial management of a major infrastructure programme, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, administration and account management
  • Preparing and reviewing applications for payment
  • Valuing variations, compensation events and change control processes
  • Producing cost reports, forecasts and commercial updates
  • Supporting contract administration and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
  • Working collaboratively with project managers, engineers and site teams to maximise commercial performance
  • Assisting with risk management and identifying opportunities for cost savings and value improvement

This is an immediate requirement offered on an initial contract basis with a transition into a permanent role after approximately 15 weeks

What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline
  • Previous experience working within utilities, water, environmental, aviation, nuclear or other major infrastructure sectors
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management principles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a fast-paced project environment
  • Full right to work in the UK
