Job summary

Crucial People Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team working on central London projects spanning design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of smart-building systems. You will handle tendering, cost planning, post-contract accounts and cash-flow monitoring, collaborating with engineers, project managers and site delivery teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
• Experience with NEC contracts is essential.
• Experience with cost capture and early issue identification.
• Ability to read technical drawings and produce take-offs (QSOR).
• Strong organisation, commercial awareness and deadline management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle from tendering and cost planning to post-contract accounts.
• Monitor cash flow and production costs.

Quantity Surveyor – Central London Projects

We are supporting a leading Building and Energy Management Systems (BEMS) integrator seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team.

With projects spanning design, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance, this is a unique opportunity to work on high-profile, technically advanced buildings in and around Central London.

About the role:

What we’re looking for:

• Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience)
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
• Experience with cost capture, measurement, and identifying issues early
• Proficiency reading technical drawings and producing accurate take-offs / QSOR
• Strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to meet deadlines
