Mane Contract Services is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. You will manage commercial and contractual aspects across nationwide projects, with emphasis on subcontractor accounts and cost control.

The role requires strong negotiation and analytical skills and offers a pathway to professional accreditation. You will work with internal teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to maximise profitability while minimising commercial risk.

Competenze

• Minimum five years' experience in Quantity Surveying within construction.
• Experience in subcontractor account management, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong commercial and contractual management knowledge within construction.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• HND or degree in a relevant discipline advantageous; RICS progress helpful.

An established and highly regarded structural steelwork specialist is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. With over 75 years of industry experience, the business delivers a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from standard building frames to complex structural steelwork installations across the UK and Europe.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial and contractual management of multiple projects nationwide, with a particular focus on subcontractor accounts. You will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders to ensure effective cost control, minimise commercial risks and maximise project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects.
• Review, analyse and agree subcontract documentation, including terms and conditions, warranties and bonds.
• Prepare, assess and submit variations, claims and measurements for interim valuations and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and revenue, including the preparation of cost reports and cash flow forecasts.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of five years' experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
• Experience in the structural steelwork sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Strong understanding of commercial and contractual management within construction.
• Experience in subcontractor account management, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and work independently.
• An HND or degree in a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
• RICS membership or progress towards professional accreditation would be beneficial.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am - 3:45pm
