Job summary

MostonRECRUIT is seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team within the facilities management and infrastructure sector. You will manage the full commercial lifecycle across diverse projects.

The role emphasises NEC contracts, pricing, cost control and strong commercial reporting, with collaboration across operations, clients and supply chain to deliver value and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • NEC experience is essential and must be applied in live projects.
  • Commercial experience in construction, property maintenance, facilities management or infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of pricing, cost control and financial analysis.
  • Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent commercial and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Experience managing change, risk, forecasting and commercial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Scoping and pricing voids and project works.
  • Managing commercial reporting, cost modelling and forecasting.
  • Monitoring costs, risks and financial performance.
  • Managing change control and ensuring robust commercial governance.
  • Working with oper ational teams, clients and supply-chain partners.
  • Ensuring works are delivered to the required standards, on time and within budget.
  • Supporting commercial negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Building strong, effective stakeholder relationships.

Our client is a respected organisation operating within the facilities management and infrastructure sector, and they're looking for a driven, commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is more than a role focused on costs and contracts. You'll be working in a complex, fast-moving environment where commercial insight, collaboration and sound judgement are key to delivering successful projects and achieving value for money.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role across the full commercial lifecycle, supporting a range of facilities and infrastructure projects.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Scoping and pricing voids and project works
  • Managing commercial reporting, cost modelling and forecasting
  • Monitoring costs, risks and financial performance
  • Managing change control and ensuring robust commercial governance
  • Working with operational teams, clients and supply-chain partners

What You'll Bring

NEC experience is essential. You'll need a strong understanding of NEC contracts and the confidence to apply your knowledge effectively within a live commercial environment.

You’ll also bring:

  • Proven experience working with NEC contracts
  • Strong knowledge of pricing, cost control and financial analysis
  • A Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent commercial and analytical skills
