Job summary

Dornan Group invites applications for its Quantity Surveying Graduate Programme 2027. Successful candidates will be placed on projects across Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe and will gain responsibility on live projects through structured training and mentorship.

From June 2027 you will commence with Dornan, supported by mentors and a development path designed to grow you into aFuture leader within the business unit.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Studying towards a Quantity Surveying Degree (Level 8).

Responsibilities

• Pre-contract cost control and documentation.
• Producing fully priced and detailed bills of quantities, labour hours and materials for the complete project life cycle.
• Preparing costs for variations.
• Producing progress and cost reports when requested.
• Reporting to senior management on progression of projects.
• Involvement in cost plans, tracking labour costs and efficiency throughout projects.
• Dealing with clients, contractors etc in a professional manner.

Job description

We are now inviting applications for our Quantity Surveying Graduate Programme 2027.

Successful candidates will be placed on projects in Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe.

The Dornan Quantity Surveying Development programme allows participants to take on responsibility on live projects, developing skills and knowledge through structured training, mentorship and guidance. It increases the individual's motivation to perform their job to the best of their ability and grow into a great leader. Our development programme aims to push participants out of their comfort zone and into a phase of learning and growth.

Your day to day will include:

• Pre-contract cost control and documentation.

What we are looking for:

• Studying towards a Quantity Surveying Degree or related discipline (Level 8).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

What happens next:

• Your application will be reviewed, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview in November and December of 2026.
• Offers will be issued in January and February of 2027, and following this you will be assigned to your business unit and mentor.
• You will commence with Dornan from June 2027.
