Job summary

British Council is seeking a quantitative researcher to design and deliver rigorous research using large data sets. You will support strategy with evidence, communicate findings to non-technical audiences and contribute to high-impact narratives for external stakeholders.

The role involves developing specialist expertise in quantitative methods, collaborating with sector teams, and helping to build capacity in data management and policy insight across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level in Statistics, Maths, Econometrics or related subject.
• Experience managing large-scale data sets using Excel, SPSS/STATA/SAS, R or similar.
• Proven track record of rigorous statistical analysis and data storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Clean, edit, code and prepare data for analysis and reports.
• Analyse quantitative data and present clear findings to diverse audiences.
• Prepare routine reports and project summaries for management meetings.
• Communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders in an accessible manner.
