Job summary

Maven Securities is seeking a Quantitative Trader Intern for a 6-month training programme focused on options market making. You’ll collaborate with traders and researchers to develop quantitative methods and gain hands-on experience across our market-making desks.

Upon successful completion, you may be considered for a full-time position. The role emphasizes problem solving, data visualization with Python, and mentorship from senior quants.

Qualifications

• Background in Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Physics, or a similar quantitative discipline.
• Proficient in programming with at least one language (preferably Python; C++ or C# advantageous).
• Professional-level fluency in English.
• Self-starter with keen interest in refining trading strategies and uncovering opportunities.
• Familiarity with financial markets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solving quantitative research problems such as volatility modelling, alpha generation and validation.
• Creating visualisation tools using Python or AI-assisted code.
• Complete a structured research project with mentorship from traders and quants.
• Shadow the Options Market Making desks.
