Job summary

Maven Securities, a leading proprietary trading firm in London, offers a structured nine-week internship designed to build practical trading skills in options market making. The program starts with options theory and evolves to trading simulation and mock trading, enabling exposure to different desks through shadowing and project work.

Interns are assessed on performance and development, with the possibility of joining the Graduate Trader Programme the following year.

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and a good understanding of probability and statistics.
• Genuine interest in financial markets and a curiosity to learn.
• Willingness to adopt and utilise emerging AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build practical trading skills in our simulation environment and apply learning to real market scenarios.
• Use the tools our traders use, observe trades, and learn from live market activity.
• Shadow traders across desks and participate in regular interaction and questions.
• Complete Reading Week with a project and area of interest.
